Families/ Looked After and Adopted Children.

 We offer one to one support to families who are supporting a relative through therapy. Having worked in Fostering and Adoption for 27 years we specialise in Equine Assisted Family Therapy, Focusing on Attachment and relationship building. 

Schools/LEAs/Alternative school provision

We assist schools, LEAs and alternative school providers assist young people from deprived communities who are in danger of being excluded from the education system due to non-attendance, social anxieties and behavioural issues.

Equine Assisted Learning is proven to have a positive impact on young people whose lack of participation in education could be the result of multiple hidden factors. They include child abuse, domestic violence, poverty and parental mental/physical ill health.

Over the past 15 years years we have been working with schools and alternative education providers with more than 270 young people. The positive difference in their behaviour and outlook during the programme was rewarding for both the students and the Turn About Pegasus team, and we have a number of ongoing programmes for both groups and individuals.

LEARNING AND SOCIAL DIFFICULTIES AND BACK TO EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION

Gain physical and mental fitness and a recognised qualification with our practical horse and stable and land management courses.

NHS

We work with the NHS to offer therapeutic treatment to patients who have mental health issues or addictions.

We can design a bespoke treatment plan specifically aimed at addressing the needs of an individual or group who may have suffered a form of mental trauma, such as a breakdown, bereavement or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Other conditions we can help treat include eating disorders and addictions.

Our animal assisted and nature programmes are proven to be beneficial in improving low self esteem and confidence, kick-starting the healing process.

Local and National Charities 

 We welcome partnership working with local and national charities believing in collabarative work in order to bring about the most success and have a proven history of effective partnerships.  

Youth and Adult Offending Services

We offer an eight week bespoke anger management treatment programme and an eight week bespoke sexual abuse treatment programme for youth offending and adult offending teams.

Businesses

Businesses and other organisations looking for a team building event with a difference can try a day working with our horses.

Activities include team work, problem solving, listening and communication skills, relationship building, physical challenges over obstacles working in partnership with the equine and human team.
