Our Impact
We know our projects work but how do you? Check our feedback and evaluations below, showing empirical evidence of the positive changes brought through our horses, countryside, and dedicated team of practitioners.

Rooted in Nature
The project began on 7th May 2023 when we appointed two part-time project workers to make 1 full-time equivalent. They worked both weekdays and weekends to ensure that people who couldn't come during the week could access our services.
Over the 3 years the project ran, we saw 654 attendees ages 6 to 79. We provided a range of outdoor and indoor therapies, alternative education, family and group therapy days for a range of clients, as well as supporting volunteers, some of whom need a little extra support.
All therapy and alternative education clients complete an end-of-intervention questionnaire, as do schools and parents, to look at changes, both positive and negative, which inform our future practice and help us make the adjustments needed or refer on if the fit is not a good one.
To date, we have seen only positive changes in self-esteem, social skills, friendships, less impulsivity, the ability to control anger, self-confidence and self-awareness. Due to the complexity of the needs of the children and families we work with, they are long-term clients, with us for 6 months to 2-3 years in duration.
